Nobody can beat Max Verstappen. He became Formula 1 champion again with a Red Bull which no longer dominates as in the past. The McLaren was superior. Lando Norris He had his chance, but he couldn’t beat the current best driver on the entire grid.
Lando goes to the Dutchman: “He is surely the best driver there has been in Formula 1the best ever, so if I managed to do a good job against him, I did well.
“There are things I need to work on and improve to reach their level”recognizes the McLaren driver.
“In some areas I think I’m Max’s equal, the problem is he doesn’t have any weaknesses. He doesn’t have a bad side. It’s hard to beat someone with these characteristics.but I have confidence in next year, in my ability to stand up to it. I try to win every race, like I did in this one, and I will try to win the next one,” said the British driver.
He acknowledges that the car “flew” in parts of the season. This did not happen in Las Vegaswhere they were third or fourth car. “When we make it work, the car flies. But making it work is not easy and we proved it this weekend…” he said.
“It’s not my job to make the car faster, but we work as a team. And I am very proud of the entire human group for being in the fight for so longfor regaining ground and coming back so much. We were the fourth best team at the start of the season,” concluded Lando.
