The autonomous community of Catalonia received in 2023 around 3 billion euros more than Madrid in current transfers for real investments and recognized obligations, according to the dthe budget execution data that the Government has detailed to Junts in a parliamentary response.

However, as detailed by the government in a text collected by Europa Press, last year it was the Catalan community that received the most, a total amount of 10,541,699,606.71 euros, while the balance of budget execution in Madrid in these chapters was 7,709,020,507.89 euros.
This makes the difference between the two communities in 2023 exactly 2,832,679,098.82 euros in favor of the Catalan community.
Negotiations for the EMP
