Last year, 51,007 cases of illness were recorded in preschool educational institutions (daycare centers).
According to Report, this is reflected in the collection “Education, Science and Culture in Azerbaijan.”
Most cases of illness were related to influenza and acute upper respiratory tract infection. Thus, this figure was 29,896 people.
As for other diseases, angina (acute tonsillitis) was recorded in 15,192 children, accidents, poisonings and injuries in 51, pneumonia in 204, bacterial dysentery in 154, scarlet fever in 495 and other diseases in 5,015.
Of the total cases of illness, the number of children aged three years or older was 41,715.
It should be noted that there are currently 1,857 kindergartens operating in Azerbaijan.
