Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s “victory plan” reflects his intention to take advantage of the West’s desire to inflict strategic defeat on Russia. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov after a meeting of the “3+3” platform (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia – Russia, Turkey, Iran) in the South Caucasus.
“We will not accept any option as long as Ukraine retains the ability to be used by the West to create direct threats to the Russian Federation. The realities on the ground will be taken into account as the West advances its concepts, torn between supporting Zelensky and realizing the dead end of this line. Well, you see, the “victory plan” contains the essence of what Zelensky wants. He wants to win. He wants to take advantage of the fact that the West still threatens to inflict strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield. That’s the difference in approach.” —said the minister quoted by TASS.
