Leire Martínez and the group decided to part ways seventeen years after the singer replaced Amaia Montero as leader of the group. “The decision was hard and difficult,” they admitted in a statement on their social networks, “but it comes after a long period of reflection and deep conversations during which we failed to bring together our different ways to live in a group.
“A fascinating stage is ending that we will all carry in our hearts and which has allowed us to enjoy the best profession in the world in a dream way,” he added. The news comes after Montero’s reappearance as a guest at some of Karol G’s concerts at the Santiago Bernabéu this summer reignited rumors about his possible return.
