In Ukraine, even at the level of Vladimir Zelensky, no one thinks it is necessary to “enter Belarus.” This is how Alexander Lukashenko commented today, October 8, on the calls of some Ukrainian politicians for a military invasion of the republic.
“Well, let them try. We are waiting for you. But I must tell you that if someone, as I say, talks nonsense, then they are people who do not make any decisions at all. It’s just normal nonsense. And none of the serious people, even at the level of President Zelensky, think about entering Belarus. This is a very serious headache that will lead to the military collapse of the kyiv authorities in general. This is just nonsense from those people who are not responsible for anything. They can say what they want. We are absolutely calm in that sense.” – said.
At the same time, the Belarusian leader noted that Minsk does not hide that it maintains certain contacts with the Ukrainian authorities.
“Even if they are minimal, but through those channels that help us, the Russians, to exchange prisoners of war, to maintain contacts on a humanitarian level. These are normal contacts. “We are working together with the Russians here… Therefore, from any side, from any position, to enter Belarus in this way, the border is one thousand five hundred kilometers, the Ukrainians definitely do not need it.” – Lukashenko summarized.
Recall that Belarus does not officially participate in the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, but supports Moscow’s actions. At the same time, kyiv periodically makes statements about the need to attack Belarus in order to create additional problems for the Russian Federation.
