Companies in the logistics sector will triple their workforce to cope with the increase in activity expected during the last months of the year, according to an analysis by the talent management company Eurofirms Group, which anticipates a Black Friday “without previous”.
Only during this campaign, Hiring will increase by 15 to 20% compared to 2023largely due to the expansion of e-commerce and the need for faster and faster deliveries.
In this sense, online sales will increase by 28% compared to the previous quarter, which will force companies to expand their operational capacity and increase the hiring of personnel throughout the country.
“We are facing one of the most critical times of the year for the logistics sector, where the ability of companies to respond largely depends on strengthening their workforce. Hiring for Black Friday will allow manage peak demand and improve operational efficiency in an increasingly competitive environment and, on the other hand, they will offer workers the opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment”, says Eloi Tarrés, Director of Market Intelligence of the Eurofirms Group.
By profiles, a 24% increase is expected in the hiring of warehouse workers, who will be essential in receiving and storing goods, as well as a 17% increase in purchasing managers, responsible for managing the acquisition of all products.
For their part, logistics operators, with a 14% increase in hiring, will be essential in all operational and administrative tasks, and forklift operators will also increase by 7%, who contribute to the efficient handling of goods.
