“The UK government said it will provide £242 million in funding, including for humanitarian needs, and £484 million in loan guarantees for World Bank loans to Ukraine before the end of the year.” – the agency reports.
Lammy said the additional aid would provide “vital support to Ukrainians.”
“Together with the United States, we will firmly support Ukraine for as long as necessary,” he stressed.
In addition, the UK will supply Ukraine with hundreds of additional air defence missiles, tens of thousands of additional artillery rounds and more armoured vehicles before the end of the year.
It should be noted that Britain has already allocated £3 billion a year for military support to Ukraine as long as it is needed.
