Lopez and Escriva take over, valuing public service and their teams

The Minister of Digital Transformation and Civil Service, Oscar Lopezand the Governor of the Bank of Spain, Jose Luis Escrivápledged their respective positions before the king at the Zarzuela Palace this Friday.

López was the first to formalize his promise in the courtroom, with the president of the government, Pedro Sánchez, and the president of the Constitutional Court, Cándido Conde-Pumpido, as witnesses, and in a second act, held immediately afterwards, il Escriva did so, also before a copy of the Constitution and without the presence of religious symbols.

As established by protocol in this type of acts, the Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, Félix Bolaños, served as Chief Notary of the Kingdom. López pledged his position before a copy of the Magna Carta opened by Article 100, regarding the appointment of ministers, while in the case of Escrivá he recited compliance with Article 103.

The Minister of Economy, Commerce and Enterprise, Carlos Body, and López, until now Chief of Staff of the Presidency of the Government, participated in the event in Escrivá. Oscar Lopez assumes the portfolio held by the new head of the Bank of Spainwho in turn replaces Pablo Hernández de Cos, who left office on June 10 at the end of his term.

At the end of the two promises, the king spoke informally with the authorities in the audience hall.
