Navarre already has its new Joteros honor roll. The tafallesa Lorena Jiménez Gonzalez got this Sunday he “Prix of the Foral Community of Navarre” of the XVII Ciudad Tudela Jotas Competitionorganized by the Government of Navarra and the Tudela Town Hall. THE Jotera also won the first prize in the category of adults in duowith Aroa Oséswhich in turn was worthy of ‘2024 Style Awards’while Cristina Miramon got the “Local price”.
He Gaztambide Theater of Tudela once again hosted this event which is part of the cultural and institutional programming around the Navarra Festival 2024. Nails 400 people followed the END of this competition, which they reached 24 joteras and joterosafter a previous selection in which fifty performers participated.
The recital was presented by the radio journalist Javier Pérez Nievas. THE final prices were delivered by Director General of Communication and Institutional Projection of the Government of Navarre, Michael Moreno; he mayor of Tudela, Alexandre Toquero; THE Cultural Advisor from the coastal capital, Here; and the businessman Jose Luis Arnedowho pays for the Local price.
He jury of this edition was composed of joteras Béatriz Mendia And Nuria Lafuenteand the Jotero José Antonio Pérez Caro. The three winning joteras of the “Foral Community of Navarre” Award, “Best Jota style” And “Local price” having received a trophy and a cash prize of 600, 500 And 100 eurosrespectively.
The competition featured the performance of rondalla from the school of Jotas Raimundo Lanas of the river capital, which played the Anthem of Valencia to open the recital, which began by paying homage to victims and affected by DANA registered in this community.
