JAKARTA – The Institute for Evaluation of Food, Medicine and Cosmetics of the Indonesian Council of Ulema (LPPOM MUI) recalled the importance of freebie certification for places for meat milling. This is an attempt to strengthen the guarantee of halal products from Upstream up to downstream.

“This meat mill is a decisive moment. Although we have free meat and ingredients, when rang out in public places that are not certified, there is a risk of mixing with negative meat or seasoning, ”said Muti Arintivati.
The meat mill, according to him, became a critical point in the chain of production of HALAL foods because most MSME actors used the services of a state meat mill.
LPPOM MUI is worried about mixing or pollution with Negalal meat or ingredients (spices) that are unclear.
Because many places from meat milling, which provide only processing services and receive meat from various sides, not knowing the source. “Because it will be concerned that halal materials are not free,” said Muti.
He also said that halal certification of meat places to ensure the cleanliness of tools and milling mills. According to him, if the mill is used alternately for halal and non -naked meat, then the tool is exposed to heavy unclean and cannot be used again for free products.
Thus, LPPOM MUI encourages the strengthening of the halal system through certification in the mining service departments. The largest sector of meat milling is used by the friction industry.
LPPOM MUI also conducted socialization and education in 21 provinces in which about 1000 participants took part. This program for the certification of Halal has reached 19 provinces, a total of 106 certified meat grinding services.
