Lukashenko continues to release those convicted of extremist activities

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, decided to pardon 31 people convicted of extremist crimes. This was reported today, November 7, by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

It is reported that 2 women and 29 men were pardoned, of whom “17 suffer from chronic illnesses, 3 are disabled, 27 prisoners have children and 7 of them have large families.”

“Those convicted are released from the main sentence without their criminal records being expunged. The Ministry of the Interior will ensure control of your law-abiding conduct,” the message says.

Let us remember that after the repression of protests in 2020, the Belarusian authorities began to cleanse the country of radical elements. As a result, many opponents of the existing government ended up in prison. In recent months, Alexander Lukashenko has taken several decisions to pardon some of them.
