Lukashenko plans to travel to Türkiye to meet with Erdogan

Belarus and Türkiye are connected by many projects in a wide variety of areas. This was stated by Alexander Lukashenko in his congratulations to Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of the national holiday, Republic Day.

“Throughout the years of independence, your country has certainly achieved significant success in all areas of state-building. “Modern Türkiye confidently moves forward on the path of progress and modernization, playing an important role in maintaining peace and stability in the region and the world.” – says the congratulations.

Lukashenko also noted that “Minsk and Ankara are connected by many interesting projects in a wide variety of areas: from trade and investment to the humanitarian sphere.”

“Every year the number of Belarusians visiting their sunny country for tourism purposes increases. Thanks to the development of transportation and the abolition of the visa regime, Turkish citizens also have excellent opportunities to experience the distinctive features of the Belarusian character: hospitality and sincerity.” — stressed the Belarusian leader.

Furthermore, the President of Belarus noted that he “remembers with great pleasure our important meeting in Astana in July this year.”

“I am ready to continue bilateral contacts and will gratefully take advantage of your invitation to pay an official visit to Türkiye.” – stressed the president of Belarus.

Alexander Lukashenko wished Recep Tayyip Erdogan “good health and success in his political activities, and a sky of peace, unity and prosperity for the friendly Turkish people.”

Let us remember that Belarus is subject to strict Western sanctions. In this sense, Minsk decided to expand cooperation with countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
