Russia’s Oreshnik missile system has had a strong impact on the world community. This was announced today, November 28, by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, in Astana, within the framework of the CSTO summit.
The Belarusian leader was asked whether the demonstration of Oreshnik’s capabilities should cool those who brought the world to the brink of a third world war.
“It’s already cooled down. We see this immediately in statements in the media. It is true that there is no longer a single line, everything has been ruined. This suggests that we are a little confused.” – said.
According to him, the Oreshnik is “a good weapon.”
“They are not nuclear weapons, but their power is comparable to that of nuclear weapons. But without penetrating radiation, without contamination of the area and objects. Such a strong impact on the so-called world community and especially on those who thought everything would turn out well. It won’t work.” – noted the Belarusian leader.
In response to a clarifying question about the importance of this for the security of the Union State, Lukashenko emphasized: “Naturally.”
“I am here for my older brother (the president of Russia Vladimir Putin —EADaily) joked and said, “The locations are ready for deployment. When?” – “Let’s think about it”, —said the Belarusian leader.
Recall that Oreshnik is a Russian experimental missile system and a medium-range ballistic missile of the same name. It was first tested on November 21, 2024, during an attack on the Yuzhmash company in the Ukrainian Dnieper. According to Vladimir Putin, serial production of Oreshnik has already begun.
