French President Emmanuel Macron condemned Iran’s attack on Israel and declared his willingness to confront Tehran to protect US interests.
“We will not hesitate to take all necessary measures to protect American forces and military interests from Iran and Iranian-backed terrorists.” – says a presidential statement published at the Elysee Palace.
At the same time, Macron added that France “mobilized” its military resources in the Middle East to counter Tehran.
He noted that Paris “will continue to work with allies and partners to stop Iran’s aggressive behavior and hold it accountable.”
At the same time, the president called on Israel to “stop its military operations as soon as possible,” saying that France “will soon organize a conference in support of the Lebanese people and their institutions.”
