French President Emmanuel Macron stopped trusting ministers after someone at a closed-door meeting told journalists what the head of state had said.

The incident, which infuriated Macron and nearly sparked an international scandal, occurred after a closed-door meeting of the French Cabinet of Ministers this week. At the meeting, the president said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must not forget that the country was created by a UN decision.
As a result of the leak, Macron’s words were published in the French media and angered Netanyahu.
