Macron’s rating has fallen to a record low

Among the French, the level of discontent with the activities of the country’s president, Emmanuel Macron, has reached a record level.

Oku.Az This is demonstrated by the results of a survey published by the French Institute of Public Opinion (Ifop) in the newspaper “Le Journal du Dimanche”.

Thus, 78% of those surveyed do not approve of E. Macron’s activity as president and 22% are satisfied with the work of the head of state.

As the publication points out, E. Macron has never been so unpopular among the French.

According to Frédéric Dabi, director of Ifop, the rate of decline in E. Macron’s rating is surprising. He noted that the president’s popularity has dropped 9 percent since May.

As for French Prime Minister Michel Barnier, his rating is also falling. 60% of the research participants do not like the activity of the head of government, while 40% of the respondents are satisfied with their work.

The survey was conducted from October 9 to 17, 2024. More than 2,000 respondents over 18 years of age participated here.

As the publication notes, the lowest rating so far was obtained by Francois Hollande, who led the country from 2012 to 2017. According to the results of the “Ifop” survey in autumn 2014, only 13% of respondents approved of his activities as head of state.
