Maduro assures that María Corina Machado is preparing to leave Venezuela: “They are cowards”

The President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduroassured this Saturday that the leader of the opposition MThe Aryan Corina Machado is getting ready to leave of the Caribbean nation, because – he said – the anti-Chavistas “are cowards”.

“Today, I tell you, the so-called queen bee found herself without a bee and Gucci prepares the suitcases (…) she knows what I’m saying and ‘La Sayona’ (in reference to Machado) is preparing to leave, compadre, I say it too, they are cowards“, declared the president during the demonstration called to celebrate his controversial re-election in the state of La Guaira (north).

Maduro recalled that he had warned a few weeks ago that the standard bearer of Venezuela’s main opposition coalition – the United Democratic Platform (PUD) -, Edmundo González Urrutia would leave the country.

González Urrutia left Venezuela and arrived in Madrid on September 8, where he requested asylum and where, over the last three weeks, he has been recognized by the European Parliament and other international organizations as “president-elect » during the Venezuelan elections.

Maduro said that “Fascists promote hatred, division and intolerance“They seek violence, when in groups they rise up, but when defeated they are cowards.”

The president indicated that after two months of presidential elections, Chavismo has consolidated “victory”, peace, economic growth, as well as social recovery plans.

Maduro also said that will be sworn in as president of the Caribbean nation, for the period 2025-2031, on January 10, as provided for in the Constitution, after the National Electoral Council (CNE) proclaimed him winner of the elections of July 28, a result contested internally and outside the country.

“On January 10, President Nicolás Maduro Moros will take the oath of office with millions of people taking to the streets, as required by the Constitution“, the president said during an event celebrating his controversial re-election in the northern state of La Guaira.

Maduro rejected the fact that next January the standard bearer of the majority opposition coalition – Democratic Unity Platform (PUD) -, Edmundo González Urrutia, will be sworn in as Venezuela’s next president, despite allegations of “fraud” electoral on the part of the anti-Chavismo.

“The Constitution is exhaustive and says that the president is proclaimed by the corresponding bodies, in this case the Electoral Power, and ratified by the expertise of 100% of the (voting) minutes, carried out by the Electoral Chamber (of the Supreme Court of Justice), will be sworn in on January 10,” he added.

Protests in Venezuela

Opponents demonstrated this Saturday in Caracas and other cities across the country against the official result of the presidential elections since, they insist, the winner was González Urrutia with a large majority.

The demonstration, called by the PUD, took place in “swarm” mode, so that citizens could “appear and disappear” quickly for security reasonsas Machado explained.

The former MP, who kept her location secret while the government described her as a terrorist, participated indirectly in these demonstrations, through a recording broadcast by citizens.

“Each (voting) recording contains thousands, millions of stories, footsteps, tears, each recording is a testimony of our strength, our courage and our determination to be free and equal, each recording contains the truth of popular sovereignty expressed in every vote,” Machado said via audio.

Likewise, he argued that every day the Maduro government is “more alone, isolated and weak, its violent attacks are obviously a sign of desperation.”
