“Maduro is much happier than yesterday”

The leader of the PP, Alberto Nuñez Feijoomaintains his party’s criticism of the government’s handling of the situation in Venezuela and the arrival of opposition leader Edmundo González to obtain political asylum. In an interview with ‘Espejo Público’, Feijóo considered that the person “happiest” with González’s arrival in Spain is Nicolás Maduro.

Mr. Maduro is much happier than yesterday. He made sure that whoever won the election was excluded. Who won? Ripe. Who lost? Venezuelan democracy“, said the opposition leader, who shared the three measures he would have taken if he had been president of the government.

“I would have done three things: I would have given him political asylum, the title of president-elect and I would have asked for Maduro’s arrest. Political asylum yes, but for the elected president of Venezuela“, acknowledges Feijóo, who also questioned the role of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero in the process.

These words from Feijóo echo those of the PP members who, in recent hours, had questioned the arrival of González, as in the case of Esteban González Pons or Cayetana Álvarez de ToledoIn the case of the vice-secretary for Institutional Affairs of the PP, he considers that his arrival “does not serve democracy, but on the contrary eliminates a problem of the dictatorship.”

“The government He hangs medals for bringing the wrong man to Spain. “It was not the elected president of Venezuela who should have received a bridge of money, but rather the criminal usurper,” said Álvarez de Toledo.
