Maduro orders the Venezuelan army to strengthen its “anti-terrorist” action against “the plans of the CNI and the CIA”

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Thursday ordered the armed forces strengthen “anti-terrorist plans” in response to the operations which, according to what he assured, have been forged in recent weeks of Spain and the United States against their government, to which the international community demanded greater electoral transparency.

During the event, broadcast on the national channel Venezuelan televisionasked the soldiers “strengthen the search and capture of terrorists” and guarantee “the neutralization of any possibility that in Venezuela we want to impose a policy with bombs, with sabotage.”

Even ifMadrid denied that the two Spaniards captured in Venezuela, that the MAduro government accuses of being terrorists – belong to any intelligence service of the European country, Maduro reiterated that “there is complete proof of the plans of the CIA and the Spanish CNI against peace and security ” of the Caribbean nation.

It is for this reason that the Venezuelan president ordered the Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, “do a reengineering” in its area of ​​action to achieve an “adaptation (of the Armed Forces) to new means of warfare” and implement an “anti-drone defense system in all vital objectives”, among others. of which he mentioned airports and ports.

It is “a readjustment of the strategic, military and police intelligence and counter-espionage processes of the Venezuelan State to adapt them to the new circumstances of the 21st century and, in particular, to the circumstances of Venezuela,” a- he pointed out.
