Maduro’s foreign minister calls Borrell a “spokesman of evil” and accuses him of turning the EU into a “decrepit institution.”

The Venezuelan government has called Josep Borrell a “spokesman of evil,” according to the European Union’s (EU) high representative for security and foreign affairs. This Sunday, he called the Maduro regime “dictatorial” and “authoritarian.”.

“When we say the dump of history, we are referring to the place where Borrell is now, from interview to interview, the spokesperson for evil; a withdrawal from politics with blood on hands“has doubly failed in its attempts to harm the Venezuelan people, by inventing fictitious governments,” the Caribbean country’s Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, said on Telegram.

Likewise, the Maduro government minister said that Borrell leaves a “dark legacy” to the transform the EU into a “decrepit institution”colonialist and warrior.” With this message, the Chancellor responded to the statements of the European leader, in which he referred to the departure of Edmundo González from the country, as well as to the “1,000 limitations” to which, he said, Venezuelan political parties are subject.

“What do you call all this? Well, naturally, it’s a dictatorial, authoritarian, dictatorial regime“, the head of European diplomacy stressed insistently during an interview given to Telecinco news.

The European Union has not recognized as legitimate the victory of Nicolas Maduro proclaimed by the National Electoral Council (CNE) in the presidential elections of July 28. the minutes which accredit it have not been publishedeven though he did not recognize González Urrutia as the winner, despite the calls of the anti-Chavismo majority, which demands the triumph of its standard-bearer.

Last August, the Venezuelan government accused Borrell of supporting a “fascist coup” in the Caribbean country, after issuing what Caracas called a “dirty statement,” in which he assured that the “necessary public evidence” had not been provided to declare Maduro re-elected president.
