Mahir Alakbarov (Mahir Khattab), the imprisoned website director, has been released.
“Qafqazinfo” reports that Mr. Khattab’s prison sentence has ended.
He was released this morning.
It should be noted that Mahir Khattab was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison.
According to the indictment, after deliberately spreading unethical video footage about former chairman of the YAP Binagadi district organization Ramiz Goyushov on Azadinfo.az and other news sites, he met with him to prevent the dissemination of such information and, under threat, took 2,000 manats from him to remove the footage.
