Majorcan Laura Capó ends her participation in the World Skills Championship in Lyon

The Majorcan Laura Capostudent at the IES Mossèn Alcover school in Manacor, has completed her participation in the Lyon Global Skillswhere he competed with students from 19 different countries in 16 tests that took place in different scenarios of the family socio-health.

During her stay at World Skills, she was accompanied every day by her tutor, Barbara Nicolas; by the coordinator of the Social and Health Skills of the Balearic Islands, Maria Nicolau; and by the Department’s Skills Coordinator, Ana PonsThe closing gala was also attended by the Head of the Professional Training Planning and Participation Service, Mar Canellas.

On the last day of the tests and the closing gala, Laura Capó was also accompanied by the Minister of Education and Universities, Antoni Verawho told him how proud it was to have a Balearic participant in the most important FP competitions. Although the student did not win any medals in the competition, the advisor popular highlighted the fact that “a Balearic student from the socio-health family has reached the world championships” and considered that this represents “aA very important and very difficult achievement to achieve“.

It is worth noting that some 1,400 competitors from more than 70 countries and regions took part in this year’s WorldSkills, spread across 59 professional families.
