The National Police arrested a man from 54-year-old man charged with murder of partner room in a residence in the town of Écija, in Seville. The events occurred in the early hours of this Tuesday.
The victim is a man 70 years oldas confirmed by sources from the National Police and reported by Diario de Sevilla. The same body is currently in charge of investigating the events.
The prisoner has been, since at the time of his arrestat the Ecija National Police Station, where he is awaiting trial.
The arrested person allegedly claimed a discussion with his roommate for reasons that have not yet been disclosed. During the fight, he allegedly suffocated the other resident with a pillow, ending his life, according to investigative sources.
The events took place in a residence on Alfonso Aragón Fofó Street in Écija, which has 181 residential places, 156 of them were arranged with the Junta de Andalucía and 20 for day trips, according to what is indicated on their website.
The alleged attacker, who sources say may have mental health issues, is arrested and taken into custody, while the room they both shared was sealedalso waiting for the autopsy to be performed on the body of the deceased.
The residence, contacted through this channel, refused to make any statement regarding the death of the old man.
