Man arrested in Germany after setting fire to two buildings and injuring 31 people

A 41-year-old man was arrested in Essen (Germany) after causing two fires which left 31 injured, including eight children.

The suspect set fire to two residential buildings, where 31 people were injured, including eight children and two babies, who are in serious condition due to smoke inhalation.

Shortly after the fires started, a truck hit two businesses from the same city, causing property damage, getting out of the vehicle and threatening witnesses with a machete in his hand.

Finally, The suspect was overpowered by two menwho was waiting for the authorities to arrive with the immobilized suspect. German police reported that the man was a 41-year-old resident of Essen with Syrian nationality.
