The Ertzaintza arrested this Sunday in Pasaia (Gipúzcoa) a 35-year-old man, accused of an alleged crime of attempted homicide in the area of gender violence, after attacking his partner with a knife. The woman suffered injuries to her hands which required her hospitalization.
The events took place this Sunday afternoon, shortly before 1 p.m., in a house in the Guipuzcoan municipality of Pasaia, according to what the Basque Security Department reports. At that time, the Ertzaintza learned of the attack that a woman had suffered in a house by a man who carried a knife.
Immediately, several Ertzaintza resources arrived on the scene. After entering the house, one of the patrols noted the presence of a man who He was holding a woman by the neck with one hand.while with the other he brandished a large knife.
The ertzainas acted quickly and managed to subdue the attacker and then immobilize him. After being treated by medical staff, the woman was transferred in San Sebastián hospital with hand injuries.
The attacker was transferred to the police stations to take the appropriate steps before being brought to justice.
