The woman, very affected, told the National Police officers who came to the scene that her husband had tried to strangle her by grabbing her behind the neck, leaving her without breathing, until he was surprised by the paramedics. . The woman added that her husband had repeatedly threatened.
Agents from the Citizen Assistance Group of the National Police carried out searches to locate the husband and went to the home and places he frequented.
A patrol located the man on a street near the house, where he was arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide. The Families and Women Unit (UFAM) of the National Police took charge of the investigations. He collected statements from the victim, the health worker and the victim’s family circle.
For his part, the health worker confirmed what he had told the patrol and explained that on several occasions he had heard the man shouting and insulting the woman, which is why he was more attentive and attentive than usual when the husband was in the room.
Furthermore, after fleeing the room, the man returned a second time, although he was surprised by the center agent, who notified the security services.
Investigators also learned that the woman had been subjected to physical and psychological violence for some time and that she had suffered humiliation, insults and physical attacks, without ever filing a complaint. The detainee was presented to court in the afternoon where his pre-trial detention was ordered.
