A 54-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his 70-year-old roommate in a nursing home in Écija (Seville), events that the National Police are already investigating.
The events occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, apparently after an argument between the two residents of one of the rooms, in which the alleged murderer suffocated the victim with a pillow.
The event, anticipated by Seville Journaltook place in a residence located on Alfonso Aragón Fofó Street in Écija. In the center, belonging to the Vitalia chain, it has 181 residential places, 156 of which are arranged with the Junta de Andalucía and 20 for day stays, according to its website.
The alleged attacker may have mental health issues, according to sources close to the investigation, and was arrested and taken into custody. The room they shared has been sealed and police are awaiting an autopsy on the body.
