Man throws 10,000 euros from balcony of his house in Benidorm and ends up arrested by police

A police intervention in a pharmacy in Benidorm ended with a truly striking image that surprised the police and passers-by. Initial investigations corroborated this information and confirmed that there was small-scale drug trafficking taking place inside the houses, an activity known in police jargon as “retail“, and it was also observed how these properties were used by buyers to consume inside.

National Police officers verified that the perpetrators had called on third parties, located near the apartments, to carry out security work. counter-surveillance and detect, if necessary, the police presence. Once all the evidence confirming the illegal activity carried out had been gathered, the exploitation phase began. The investigated houses were entered and searched with judicial approval.

Large quantities of narcotics and cash were seized in both homes. Specifically, 2.3 kilograms of cocaine (some of it was arranged in 180 one-gram packages for distribution), 52 grams of marijuana, 40 rolled cigarettes containing the same substance (prepared for immediate consumption), 120 tablets of a drug for erectile dysfunction and 21,673 euros in cash.

Upon entering, one of the prisoners, after detecting the police operation, threw over the balcony some of the narcotics he was keeping in the house, as well as 10,000 euros in cash. Small amounts of cocaine and marijuana were also found inside, intended for direct sale, fractional moneyprecision scales and accounting records referring to the substances sold.

After the searches, it was determined that one of the houses was being used as a daycarethe majority of the substance involved and the cash found being in it, and the other would be intended for sale and consumption on site, the rooms not being habitable, presenting an unsanitary state.

In this way, the National Police of Benidorm managed to dismantle a black point of drug sales that generated a climate of insecurity in the city. The three detainees, two Spaniards and a woman of Brazilian origin, aged between 30 and 51, were placed at the disposal of the Benidorm Court of Instruction.
