In the Kursk region, the mandatory evacuation of populated areas in the Rylsky and Khomutovsky districts has been announced. This was announced today, September 16, by the governor of the region, Alexey Smirnov.
“Based on operational information, the regional operational headquarters, in order to ensure security, made a decision to compulsorily evacuate settlements in the Rylsky and Khomutovsky districts, which are located in a 15-kilometer zone adjacent to the border with Ukraine,” — he wrote on his Telegram channel.
The head of the region added that the coordination of the process of departure of local residents is entrusted to law enforcement agencies, the local administration and guards from the Kursk Patriotic Center.
“Dear compatriots, I ask you to treat the current situation with understanding and to follow all recommendations of the security forces and local authorities.” – Smirnov said in a message.
