The president of the Junta de Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, announced this Monday that he would present this Tuesday the community finance bill for 2025, accounts which, as detailed, will be “the highest in the history of Castilla y León”. “We will continue to maintain our commitment to being the Community which devotes the most to social policies”, underlined the regional leader, also underlining the “clear” commitment of the Regional Executive “in favor of dynamism and innovation in the economy.
Although he did not further explain the content of this bill during his speech at the conference “Castilla y León towards the future”, organized by the Europa press agency, he stressed thatl 81 percent of community budgets will be allocated to social policies, citing among them health, education, social services, dependency, conciliation and housing.
During his speech, he also explained that the “first step” to advance in the realization of these budgets will be the presentation also this Tuesday, during an extraordinary session of the Governing Council, of the expenditure ceiling to transfer it to the Courts of Castilla y León. . In this sense, he asked the parliamentary groups that make up the Chamber to have a “height of vision” so that it has sufficient support to move forward.
Likewise, he argued that during the parliamentary treatment of the spending ceiling, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Carlos Fernández Carriedo, would meet with the groups to incorporate the proposals and “obtain sufficient support”. “I hope that the groups will respond to this call for dialogue thinking about Castilla y León and not just the party strategies,” he stressed, then emphasizing that he “hopes” that the PSOE “can concentrate on Castilla y León despite their internal problems” and that Vox “can work from Castilla y León and not just do what their bosses tell them from Madrid”.
