Two weeks have passed since the death of DANA one of the most horrific weather disasters in history has left our country. The Valencian community was the first victim of this phenomenon which left more than 200 dead, many missing and great losses for citizens. A situation that completely shocked the Spaniards, who did not hesitate for a single second to show their most supportive side and help the inhabitants of the affected towns. Singer Manuel Carrasco is not to be outdone and took advantage of his popularity on the networks to raise his voice and ask for help for the victims.
A few days ago, the artist expressed his regrets in his Instagram stories. “What great helplessness! With everything that is happening and the management of the tragedy in Valencia. Why didn’t they send and are not sending ALL available troops once and for all?wrote. “It’s amazing that so many days have passed and they are still continuing this insane power struggle! You just can’t understand…“, he added. Some words with which he wanted to express his dissatisfaction with the political management they have. However, Manuel Carrasco has not wanted to explore the subject further until now.
The artist traveled to Mexico with the aim of promoting his work. A meeting with the media where he did not hesitate to discuss the complicated situation that Spain is going through with the arrival of DANA. “Right now, Valencia is destroyed. The entire country is plunged into a crisis, into general sadness. I imagine the images got here,” he began by saying.
“The number of deaths, the amount of suffering that there has been is completely insane. In this case, The authorities, the people who should take care of us, who should help us get through this, have not behaved well.“, he stressed. “It is clear that there was a lot of negligence which, today, “We will see who takes responsibility for it, but people feel quite helpless.”he added about the management of political parties.
“But there is one thing that was born from it, and that is the solidarity of people with the victims, with the people who suffered. There is a tide and a wave of affection. The people left, they took their boots, their shovels, their food, what little or how much they had… and it happened here and it’s something that, although tragic and painful, is very exciting.he declared with pride, noting the solidarity of Spanish citizens.
Manuel Carrasco: “It is in moments like this that you have to see the humanity of people”
Manuel Carrasco was honest during his interview and had no qualms in praising the true heroes who are helping those affected come out of this tragedy. All this without abandoning the bad work that politicians have done and continue to do. “Because young people, old people, everyone took to the streets to help. Something the politicians didn’t do, scoundrels, because there’s no other way to say it.“, said.
“Because it’s in times like this that you have to see the humanity in people. In this case it was lacking, but the Spanish people were very attentive and continue to be so. Let’s hope that this, which will take a lot of time because the damage is quite significant, not only emotionally, so that it does not fall into oblivion, so that this city and the whole country can recover,” he added forcefully.

The interviewer alluded in this regard to the solidarity that the people always maintain with the people, whatever the country. Those with the fewest resources are the first to decide to contribute their grain of sand. A thought Carrasco agreed with. “At the end of the day, it always happens. In this kind of misfortune, people make the best of it. There are a lot of people who also bring out the worst, at the edges.”he thinks.
“Often it feels like society is lost and we’ve become distant from the world, and there are times like this where you say, ‘Well no, there’s hope .’ There’s something inside people and sometimes we don’t even know it, right? In this sense, I feel very proud of the country that we have because it behaved and still behaves“, he said.
