Mapfre and UPTA Aragón join forces to launch a new simplified pension scheme for self-employed workers

Mapfre and UPTA Aragón have signed an agreement to launch a new simplified employment pension planspecially designed for self-employed and independent workers at the national level.

Simplified employment pension plans are tools designed to make it easier for self-employed workers to save for retirement. In this way, professionals are authorized pay contributions of up to 5,750 euros per yearwhich will make it easier to have a larger capital allocated to the future pension compared to individual pension plans, which have a contribution ceiling and a tax reduction of 1,500 euros per year.

The plan incorporates what is called Service lifecycle profile so that the self-employed worker can choose the investor profile (conservative, moderate or determined) for the entire duration of the plan, thus being able to make changes at any time to adjust stock exposuree according to the preferences of each user.

In addition, it will be permitted gradual reduction of riskor since, as the participant approaches retirement age, exposure to variable income will automatically decrease to facilitate the consolidation of accumulated savings. Thus, young investors will benefit from greater exposure to stocks at the beginning, only to gradually reduce it as they approach retirement.

The new simplified employment retirement plan will offer this service to a very low costgenerating a higher net profitability for self-employed and self-employed individuals compared to other investment styles.

The agreement was signed between Javier Oliveros, commercial director of Mapfre Iberia, and Álvaro Bajén, secretary general of UPTA Aragón.
