MotoGP lands this weekend on the Australian track of Phillip Island, one of the favorites of Marc Marquez where the man from Ilerda won three times.
At the press conference ahead of the weekend, the eight-time champion was “optimistic” about a circuit that suits his style.
“It’s left-handed and, in theory, it rotates counterclockwise. it must be a little better. All circuits that turn left I face them with more optimism“, explained the man from Cervera.
Even though Martín and Bagnaia are fighting for the World Championship with only 10 points difference, Márquez does not rule out winning a race again before the end of the season.
“This year I wanted to win a race and we won two. We’ll see if I can win more, I’m not excluding anything“, he stressed.
“I wanted to work on consistency and I worked on it; now I have to increase the speed by one point, this level of risk”he added.
Already in 2025, as an official Ducati rider, the objectives will be very different: “If next year I am in the official team, I will have the obligation to fight to win races“.
Phillip Island, one of those left-hand circuits that people love @marcmarquez93 😜
