On November 2, Fluminense drew 2-2 at home with Gremio in the Brazilian championship. In the second half, coach Mano Menezes wanted to replace Marcelo, but a dispute arose between the coach and the player. Later, the coach canceled the substitution.
It should be noted that Marcelo is 36 years old. He is a Fluminense student and joined the team in February 2023. The Brazilian defender spent much of his career at Real Madrid.
