Marco Mouly, figure of the giant fraud in the “carbon tax”He was sentenced in absentia, on Tuesday, November 12, by the Paris judicial court to three years in prison for having organized his insolvency. The 59-year-old man, who was returned to custody in March following the partial revocation of a suspended sentence dating back to 2019, was released on November 2. The court found him guilty of having organized his insolvency to avoid paying his judicial debts.

These new crimes, committed in a state of legal recidivism, are proof that “I clearly didn’t learn my lesson.” of his previous convictions, the president declared, to justify the issuance of an arrest warrant against the defendant, who was absent during the hearing.

In this case, he was accused, in particular, of having reduced his copyright in publishing contracts, mainly for the book of which he was co-author, the race (2022) or even having hidden income as part of an influencer contract for the former “pope of influence” Magali Berdah and her husband Stéphane Teboul.

“Deception”

On September 25, the prosecution requested four years in prison against him, as well as a definitive ban on managing a company, stating that Marco Mouly had voluntarily avoided obtaining “attachable income”preventing the payment of their legal debts.

At the end of June 2017, Mr. Mouly had already been sentenced on appeal to eight years in prison and one million euros in compensation for damages in the so-called trial “carbon tax”huge VAT fraud in the pollution rights market. He was also ordered, along with the other defendants, to pay a fine of more than 283 million euros to the French State.
