In this edition of the program, Rahib Balakhanov, a resident of Mardakan, talked about the secret of a successful marriage.
He said that ancient wedding traditions are still alive today:
“Bridal houses came later. When choosing a girl and marrying a boy, they listen to the opinions of adults and parents and take them into account. It is true that young people today are very free, because they spend a lot time away from home. But getting married is an issue in which family intervention should be in a good way.
According to a Mardakan resident, a man can rule the family, but a woman is more trustworthy.
R. Balakhanov explained the fact that mothers-in-law are more dominant in modern families:
“At that time, girls didn’t go out much. Since they grew up in a home environment, their fate was decided by their parents. The girl didn’t say anything either. But today it’s not like that. We leave the choice to them.”
