Former Bankinter CEO María Dolores Dancausa has invested almost 250,000 euros in the purchase of shares in Puig Brands, a company in which she holds the position of director, in a context in which the shares of the luxury and perfume group have been abandoned 17.15% since its IPO last May.
Specifically, Dancausa acquired a package of 11,950 shares at a price of 20.85 euros per share, in a transaction dated yesterday, September 10, according to the archives of the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
In addition to the former CEO of Bankinter, the Secretary of Appointments and Remuneration of Puig Brands, Álavaro Sanz de Oliveda, acquired a total of 1,000 shares of the company at a price of 20 the day before, September 9.
The luxury and perfume group Puig recorded a rise of 0.59% this Wednesday after 2:00 p.m., to trade at a price of 20.3 euros, with a capitalization of 11.530 million euros.
Thus, the company’s shares have fallen by 17.15% since its IPO, since the price set for its IPO was 24.5 euros.
The group obtained a net profit group share of 154 million euros in the first half, a figure 27% lower than that of the same period of 2023. In this context, Puig attributed the drop in its net profit to the costs of an exceptional derivatives of its stock market listing, as well as acquisition and merger costs and other adjustments, which amounted to 84 million euros after tax.
The main adjustment was the extraordinary cash bonus of 94 million euros granted to all employees of the company on the occasion of their entry into the trading room.
However, Puig’s adjusted net profit increased by 4.8% in the first half, to 238 million euros.
The cosmetics company achieved net sales of 2,171 million euros in the first half of the year, 9.6% more than in the same period last year.
