Maritime Rescue sent a rescue team to rescue a boat that was located this Monday morning approximately 17 miles from the island of El Hierro. According to initial estimates, 77 people are traveling there.
When they arrived at the dock, two of the migrants had to be transported by ambulance to the island’s general hospital.
This is the first boat that will arrive at the La Restinga dock after the shipwreck that occurred in the early hours of last Saturday in which nine people died and 50 others are missing.
This Monday morning, another boat also arrived on its own to the island of Tenerife. More precisely, it reached the marina of San Miguel, in the south of the island, where 81 people disembarked, one of whom had to be taken to hospital.
