The first intervention was carried out at 4 a.m. by Salvamar Leo, after a French Frontex plane detected a precarious boat with thirteen North African men 96 nautical miles from the coast of Alicante.
The occupants of this boat disembarked at 7:50 a.m. in the port of Alicante and the emergency was coordinated by the Valencia Maritime Rescue Center.
