Ma’ruf amin over Pabowo’s plan to evacuate 1,000 Gazans to RI: no problem

President Pabowo Subianto is planning to evacuate 1,000 Gazans to Indonesia. Vice president for the period 2019-2024 Ma’ruf Amin said it could be done as long as he could solve the problem.

“I think the most important thing is to overcome the difficulties in Gaza in any way,” said Ma’ruuf na Halal Bihalal in the residence of PKB chairman Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin in South Jakarta, Sunday (4/20/2025).

“If it can solve it, there is no problem. But if it is difficult, I think we help people there,” he added.

Ma’ruf Amin said that the true evacuation from Gazans to Indonesia was not easy. Ma’ruf said that it is most likely now to offer help.

“To also move things that are not easy. But there is also not easy. So which one is most likely that he offers help,” he said.

Pabowo has previously made a press statement before visiting the five countries. Pabowo wants to ask for support about the evacuation plan of 1,000 Gazans, Palestine, to Indonesia in the first wave.

“We are ready to evacuate the wounded, those who are traumatized, orphans, everyone can. The Palestinian government and related parties there want to be evacuated to Indonesia. We are ready to send aircraft for their transport. (9/4) Early in the morning.

Pabowo said, with regard to the evacuation, the conditions for all related parties must approve it. Pabowo emphasized that the evacuation from Gazanen to RI was only temporary, and if the condition of Gaza was possible, the evacuated residents had to return to the place of origin.

“The condition is that all parties must approve this. Secondly, they are only temporary here, until they recover healthily again, and when they recover and are healthy again, the state of Gaza is possible, they have to return to their original area,” he said.

Pabowo said that this help was a form of Indonesian dedication to support Palestine. That is why in his visit to a number of countries in the Middle East, Pabowo will also consult the leaders of the country.

“I think this is the attitude of the Indonesian government. For this reason, I must consult with the regional leaders. Because the messenger continues to be sent about how the willingness of Indonesia to resolve or help encourage the Gaza scheme,” he said.
