Marvel superheroes come to Ifema with the exhibition ‘Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes’

Ifema will host from November 15 an unmissable event for any comic book fan and especially Marvel. The Madrid exhibition center will host an exhibition entitled “Marvel: Universe of Superheroes” which will retrace the 85 years of life of this publishing label, which has moved from the pages to the cinema, leaving several of the highest-grossing films in history.

There will be a total of 200 original pieces. From costume elements to accessories and iconic artwork from the Marvel world. Some They were not even exposed to the public. Ben Saunders, the exhibition’s curator, has generated excitement among fans.

“It begins with the origins of the Marvel Universe and continues to the present day, providing the opportunity to see some of the least seen and most valuable objects of eight decades of pop culture history and pointing to the future with some of the work of today’s greatest creators,” he says.

They’ll all be there. From Captain America to Spider-Man, including Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Doctor Strange. None of the characters or stories created by legends like Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Stefe Ditko will be missing.

Brian Crosby, head of Marvel Experience Development, has attested that the label “transformed the idea of ​​the superhero in the 1960s, by increasing the visual spectacle, emotional dynamism and philosophical sophistication action and adventure comics.

“Marvel has always been about the world outside your own window, and one of its most compelling messages has been that anyone, without distinction of race, religion or sex, can be a superhero,” Crosby says.

Visitors will have multiple activities to do in this “Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes”. They will also even be able to access Tony Stark’s lab and test out Iron Man’s armor.

And not everything will be visual, because the sound will be by Lorne Balfe, who has composed music for films, series and video games such as Mission Impossible: Fallout, Black Widow or Ad Astra.

“Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes” is organized by a team that includes three comic strip specialistsp.: Benjamin Saunders, Matthew J. Smith, and Randy Duncan; while genre writers and editors Ann Nocenti and Danny Fingeroth collaborated on its development.
