“Azerbaijan hosts an extremely important and vital event.”
This was stated by the head of the Afghan delegation, Matuil Haq Khalis, who is visiting Azerbaijan to participate in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), held in Baku.
He said Afghanistan did not participate in at least the last three COP events:
“Participating in the event held in Baku will allow us to convey the voice of the Afghan community to the whole world. Because Afghanistan is one of the countries that feels the consequences of climate change the most. Therefore, we can better understand the essence of this event organized by Azerbaijan.”
