The open-air concert season is coming to an end, the city’s venue circuit is already starting to rev its engines for a new route full of proposals for all tastes, and there the club will have a lot to say. Mazo Festivalwhich kicks off this weekend an ambitious and long fifth edition that will entertain Madrid music lovers until the end of March.
The clients will be the Mexican icons of “alterlatino” rock from the beginning of the century, Naughtya pivotal project between electronic indie and Latin dance that will arrive this Friday, September 6 at the El Sol room. The second appointment is that of one of those groups that are particularly difficult to see in our territory: the Dutch Altin Gün, universal. ambassadors of Turkish acid folk who have revolutionized the sound of lysergic rock, and who will arrive at the But room next Tuesday to present live the songs of their brand new ‘Aşk’.
This same week, we will have the official presentation of one of the revelation albums of this year in the new pop state, the fabulous ‘3000’ by nusar3000which will arrive at the El Sol Theater on Thursday 12th with all the tickets sold out for several weeks. A day later, Friday 13th, also at the El Sol venue, it will be the turn of the official presentation of another album that resonates strongly on the guitar circuit, the first homonymous album by Amor Líquido, one of those bands that They come out of the emergency to assert themselves as one of the most promising projects of the national underground rock.
The following week will see the alliance of those who make the foundations of European alternative rock resonate: it will be on Thursday 19th when the Wurlitzer Ballroom will take to the stage to welcome hand in hand the French trio of the after-everything. Lysistratawho will present his brand new ‘Veil’, alongside the explosive Belgian noise-rock combo It It Anita. A few days later, on Saturday 21, there will be another alliance, but of Ibero-American singers, in the El Intruso room with the Brazilian singer Tagua Tagua and his brand new EP ‘Todo Tempo’ during an evening that will be opened by the Spanish-Argentine Bargo, who will present the songs from what will be his next EP.
The last week of September, Mazo will debut on Wednesday 25th at the Fun House with the presentation of another album, ‘Modelo para armar’ by Fromthat pushes the limits of the most poisonous alternative writing, imposing a dialogue between lo-fi and the intimacy of the indie author. The next day, neo-folk will resonate at the Sala Siroco with the Extremadura-Canarian duo Nightingale closing the famous scene of “Palmerita, Palmerita”, and the Cantabrian duo Casapalma who will do the same with their first “Montañesas”.
