Mazón announces 250 million euro express helpline for those affected by DANA in Valencia

The president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazonexplained this Thursday early in the morning that the tasks of the system deployed by DANA are still in progress with the aim of saving as many lives as possible. The Generalitat and the Provincial Delegation of Valencia are preparing emergency help lines for those affected, in coordination with the central government.

The Generalitat will approve a decree next Tuesday with aid amounting to 250 million euros that can be expanded. The president of the Provincial Council, Vincent Mompoannounced an extraordinary line of twenty-five million intended in particular for the rehabilitation or reconstruction of infrastructure such as bridges damaged by the effects of the worst cold snap of the 21st century.

The Generalitat Valenciana has already contacted the President of the European Commission to convey the request for access to aid from the Community Solidarity Fund to mitigate the damage caused by DANA which devastated the province of Valencia this week.
