The President of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, began this Sunday afternoon the restructuring of his government by appointing the Vice President and Minister of Social Services, Equality and Housing as the new spokesperson for the Consell, Susana Camarero.
Mazón’s number two will replace the Minister of Finance, Economy and Public Administration, Ruth Merinoswho until now was spokesperson, who, during the management of the DANA emergency, had lost importance in favor of Camarero, who is gaining strength and presence at the Palau de la Generalitat.
Over the next few days, as confirmed by the Regional Government, more details will be revealed on the changes made to the Consell, which will have a new structure adapted to the recovery plan economic and social of the Valencian Community after the consequences caused by the flood of October 29.
Last Friday, President Carlos Mazón argued, during his appearance at the Valencian Cortes, that the new structure of the Consell will include a transversal vice-presidency which will coordinate the economic and social reconstruction actions of Valencia and a Department of Emergency and Interior focused on responding to crisis situations in an agile and coordinated manner and with prevention skills to protect and ensure the safety of Valencians.
