Mazón brings a “full house” to the next edition of MotoGP and praises “the great season and the effort” of the Valencian riders

The president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazonwelcomed “the great season” thanks to the talent, efforts and discipline of the Valencian pilots participating in this competition and advanced “a full house” to the next edition of the motorcycling world championship which will take place at the Ricardo Tormo Tour.

Mazón made these statements during the presentation of the official poster of the Motul Grand Prix of the Valencian Community of MotoGP, which will take place from November 15 to 17 on the Cheste road.

The president of the Consell explained that “from the Generalitat we are taking up the challenges to live up to our great motorcycling champions” and argued that “we will continue to compete so that Valencia and its circuit become the home of motorsport again.”

In this sense, the president indicated that “the 25 years old of success of the Circuit, our riders and the great love of the Valencians for this sport” support the fight so that the Valencian Community can continue to host the MotoGP World Championship.”

It should be noted that this edition marks the beginning of the expansion of 10,000 seats which took place last May on the Circuit, which means that almost 90,000 entries for the grand prize, “which is already full”.

In addition, it is necessary to highlight the great year that the Valencian drivers are experiencing, which has led them to achieve a total of 27 podiums so far, so that if they obtain one more in any of the four remaining races of the season, they achieved the historic record of the Valencians on the podium of the 75 years old existence of the motorcycle world championship.

The president of the Consell said that it is “a pride and a responsibility” to receive the talent of the great drivers of the Valencian Community who are an example with their entire team who “year after year fights again to win a championship” , at the same time which highlighted his ability to “give the best of oneself in such a competitive world”.

The president also stressed that motorcycling “has deserved by its own weight and rightly” to be a trademark of the Valencian Community.

Likewise, in addition to the races, fans will be able to enjoy numerous parallel activities on the Circuit, such as the “Pit Walk” on Thursday afternoon, during which they will have the opportunity to get closer to the drivers, take photos with them or ask for autographs; or the “Hero Walk” which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, an event during which drivers will walk outside the paddock to greet the fans.

Commemorative activities

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Circuit, it is also planned that an exhibition of motorcycle helmets will be distributed throughout the city of Valencia, from October 21 until the day of the Grand Prix.

Likewise, a documentary will be broadcast on the 25 years of history of the Circuit in which drivers such as Jorge Martínez Aspar, Nico Terol, Jaume Masià, Jorge Navarro, Sergio García Dols and Adrián Campos Jr. will participate.
