Mazón criticizes the recommendations of the Ecological Transition and asks to use bottled water for drinking and cooking in the municipalities affected by DANA

The president of the Valencian Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, criticized the recommendations of the Ecological Transition concerning water consumption in the municipalities of the region concerned by DANA. In a post on his social media profile, X called them “wrong”: “We consider it important to clarify the following official recommendations regarding the use of water.”

So, the president asked to use bottled water for drinking and cooking in the municipalities concerned. However, the ministry had recommended boiling it in 60 of the affected towns.

The Valencian leader added that at present there are “no” official recommendations regarding the heating of water intended for consumption. “Yes, it can be used for showering and washing,” he added.

Mazón recalled that the Valencians They have free bottled water at different points of each location. “If you have any questions, consult the municipal authorities,” he concluded.

According to forecasts from the Ecological Transition, the 7,000 people who still do not have water service will see their supply restored within a maximum of ten days.
