Mazón justified sending the ES-Alert mobile alert to 8:11 p.m. on October 29 after AEMET issued the red alert at 7:30 a.m. the same day. This alert from AEMET led several localities to cancel classes in schools and institutes, such as in Utiel. However, the Generalitat has not made any recommendations or prohibitions.
