This appointment is part of a restructuring of the Valencian government after the disaster.
The president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, signed the Lieutenant General Gan Pampols for the reconstruction of Valencia after DANA which devastated a large part of the province and caused more than 200 deaths.
The signature is included in a government restructuring Valencia that Mazón realizes after the catastrophe. This Monday, the President of the Generalitat has already announced the replacement of Nuria Montes by Marián Cano as the new Minister of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism.
Another of the changes, announced on Sunday, concerns the Vice President and Minister of Social Services, Susana Camarero, who assumes the functions of spokesperson, replacing Ruth Merino.
The management of reconstruction will be key to the rest of the mandate of the Generalitat, which is why the national leadership of the PP has asked Mazón for “exemplary” management in this sense.
Feijóo stressed that the Consell de Mazón and the government of Pedro Sánchez must “evaluate the tragedy from criticism and self-criticism”, as well as “compensate for what happened through a process of reconstruction that allows people to live normally again.”
